Sync Framework: In-house SQL Server DB <=> Azure Table Services ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I have in-house SQL Server Database. I'd like to extend the datastore to Azure and I want to use Table Services instead of SQL Azure (Please, I do NOT want to use SQL Azure DB at all).

I know that I can use Sync Framework or SQL Data Sync to synch from in-house SQL DB to SQL Azure, But this doesn’t help me.  So does anyone have any suggestions, creative ideas or samples for synching data and BLOBs from in-house SQL DB to Table Services?

I already saw (http://azuredatabaseupload.codeplex.com/) But it is not what I am looking for. My goal is to have a consistence solution that is programmatically synchronized. So, I can make sure that the data in in-house SQL DB match and identical with the data in the Table Services in Azure.

P.S. Of course I know about Windows Azure Connect: (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg432997.aspx) & (http://uktechdays.cloudapp.net/techdays-live/connecting-the-windows-azure-network-to-your-corporate-network-tuesday-24th.aspx). But the help that I need is any implementation, source code or explanation for building Sync Framework for SQL Server (Provider) which ensures to me that the data on in both sides (in-house SQL DB & Azure Table Services) are identical and programmatically synchronized.

I would greatly appreciate your inputs !
