Using wrong / undefined words?!? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello guys ´n´ girls out there.

I guess someone has already mentioned it but if it is not the case I am proud! ;-)

Well, when you copy lots and lots of files onto your whs and get under 5gb free harddisk space the console alarms you with something like:

    http://forum.home-server-blog.de/download.php?id=58

Error: System Harddrive has less than...

But that is not an Error!!! Wouldn´t it be better using a word like Warning or Alarm?

In Germany Error is when something is going wrong and Warning is when you should be carefully. But maybe you are Error could be used in the same way as Warning in english. I am not sure about that.

I am so excited.... ... I want my hands on the finished product!!!!

  • Hi,

Yes, true that the word "Warning" fit better. But to the OS, I guess it error after all.

    Good suggestion tho.

    My best.
