Video driver issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi --
We have had WHS working wonderfully for several months.  But just this past week we had a powersupply fail.  Now after replacing the power supply, the monitor stops working a the OS moves past the WHS splash screen.  I'm sure this has to do with a video driver, but I can't get to a place to work with the OS while the monitor works.  Can anyone give me a clue??

  • If you have a client computer, use Remote Desktop Connection and try to connect.  This may verify if it's really a video driver issue.

  • Yes, I can access the desktop just fine.  I am not sure why the video driver stops when the OS is loaded.

  • Hit F8 after the BIOS POST and select "Enable VGA Mode". Once logged on then reinstall the video driver.
