Custom SSRS Report in Project Sites (Project Server 2010) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I saw this post and really prefer Amit's suggestion instead of using Project Worksapce Custom Field Web Part Solution Starter:

I would be keen to know how to pass the parameter just like we can do in Project Detail pages using Query String Filter and using 'ProjUID' as the parameter to pass to a custom SSRS project status report.

I understand that the URL is unique for each project site, but I am a bit stuck on getting the curent Project Site URL and passing it as parameter to the report. I was thinking of adding the ssrs report on the home page of the project site.

Any help (as always) would be great!

    Thank you,

  • Hi there,

Take a look at Alex Burton's feature, this will give you the Proj_UID in the Project Site:

  • Thank you Paul! That is it! But of course with limitation.

I continued to look and have found a product from IPMO called 'Project Workspace Filter Webpart'. I use this to get the URL and pass it to the SSRS report web part. Perfect! Well worth the $1200 AUD (per environment). Saved me so much time and I prefer using this instead of the solution starter CFWP. This will be part of all my future implementations.

Thanks again. Really appreciated your help.

    Kind regards,
