Best Book for Win 7 70-680 Exam RRS feed

    Hi all !

    Can anyone please suggest which is the best book to prepare for the Win 7 exam. I have seen a couple on amazon, but could not decide. Since it is just out, there are not much reviews to those books.

    I would suggest this book, which also comes with Measure-Up Sample exam.

    You might want to also look at the Sybex book.  I've found the Sybex books to be more readable and understandable than the MS Press books.  No release date for it yet, but it's on Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0470568755/ref=s9_simz_gw_s5_p14_t1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1VRWVQH74RW2A64GPZ0F&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846).

    Bot books focus upon what you need to know to pass the certification exam, and both include CD's/DVD's with practice tests.  Sybex includes flash cards, simulations and audio learning.

    I saw the link you had posted for the free e-book , And I have downloaded it. I am reading it currently to know Win 7 better. It is a good one.

    But I need the book to be more exam focussed ; would have a lot of practise tests/simulation cd's and everything else that would help me prepare in the best way.

    Any suggestions for that?

    This book is out in April 2010. I have to get certified by the year end.

     MSPress books are very lengthy making it impossible to finish them. I had one for WinXP exam. I never got to complete it. Can you please suggest any other book that has a good material and practise tests.

    The reality is that there aren't that many choices at this point, primarily because the exam is SO NEW.  From a book standpoint, you have either MS Press, Sybex or Wiley.  Given that MS Press is the only one in print, that doesn't leave much of a choice.  Beyond that, CBT Nuggets has videos in development, but those are expected to be finished until the second quarter of 2010. 

    If you "have to get certified by the year end", then right now the only choice is the MS Press book.  That's it.  Yes, the MS Press books are lengthy, but they do provide you with the information and training you'll need to pass the certification exam.
