off topic - I can't connect to internet after reinstall XP service P1

  I had to reformat my pc because it was too slow.  It's a DELL Inspiron 8500.  I reinstalled with the original version XP Home service P 1, I used the CD that came with the PC.  All the drivers and softwares CDs were also reloaded to PC.  Everything seems to be in working order  except I can't connect to the internet.  

  
  

  I used direct cable to hook it to the back of PC from my Linksys hub.

  I used internet connection wizard from control panel and tested all the available options... and still got" The page cannot be display" message.

  
  

  And still unable to connect to the internet.  I have on my desk another PC and has no problem with the internet.  What else could you suggest.  Many thanks.
