Only one way sync is working between Windows 7 Beta 1 and Vista Ultimate 64 RRS feed

  • Question

  • At one point I had this working but now Live Mesh will only sync files in one direction with peer-to-peer sync. Adding a file to a Live Mesh folder on Windows 7 wil sync with my Vista machine, but when I add a file to a Live Mesh folder on Vista, my Windows 7 machine never copies the file. The same goes for file deletion as well.

I have tried to disabling Windows 7 firewall as well as setting the Windows 7 network to both public and home network. I've created new Live Mesh folders and they work. Its just the older folders will no longer sync.

  • Since it was working, and it is working with new folders that you set up, I think a bug submission with logs is in order. Instructions for how to file a bug with logs is here:
Sticky: How to Submit Bugs and Live Mesh Logs

Once you've filed the bug with logs, you may want to disable sync for the devices and then remove the folder from the Mesh before setting it back up again. Be sure to backup the data contained within the folder in case of problems.
