on Windows Mobile? RRS feed

    Hi

I have a database on the desktop, and a database on a windows mobile device.

I need to synchronize data both ways.

Can I use this technology and if not, when can this be a possibility?

  • Synchronization from windows desktops and windows mobile is currently support with Merge Replication.  However for Sync Services for ADO.NET synchronization is currently only supported on Windows desktops.  We are working on completing support for devices and hope to have it available soon.

Please keep an eye on our sync blog for an annoucement.

  • Hi Liam,

I am also waiting for the new update which would support sycn between windows mobile and desktop databases. I have sql ce on the pocket pc and sql server on the desktop. Need to sync between them. I don't want to use merger replication or RDA. I assume ado.net sync would be the best bet, but eagerkly awaiting for the update.

Please do let me know when the update would be available.
