E-Mail Router Connection String RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Forum,

we just want to know, if the crm server itself knows the e-mail router connection string ? Or is it the other way around. Just the E-Mail Router knows the CRM Server ?

The question came up of the following circumstance: At the very first time we installed CRM Server and E-Mail Router on the same machine. After a few month we decided to install the E-Mail-Router on another Computer/Server. And now we don't know if the E-Mail-Router, which is still installed on the crm server, is in use.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris

  • to verify if the router is still in use on the CRM server you could check in Services to see if it is still running. If it is you can just disable the service or uninstall the router.

  • The Email router is configured with the connection information for the CRM Server. The CRM Server has no need to know the connection inforamtion for the Email Router, as all actions are initiated by the Email router
