Do MCPD upgrade exams count for the credit of the individual exams? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm looking at taking the 070-523 to upgrade 3.5 Web to 4.0. The website says the following:

Credit Toward CertificationWhen you pass Exam 70-523: Upgrade: Transition your MCPD .NET Framework 3.5 Web Developer Skills to MCPD .NET Framework 4 Web Developer, you complete the requirements for the following certification(s):

MCTS: .NET Framework 4, Web Applications
MCTS: .NET Framework 4, Service Communication Applications
MCTS: .NET Framework 4, Data Access
    MCPD: Web Developer 4
I just want to confirm that this means that I will get not only credit for the 4.0 MCPD, but also individualized credit for the exams that compose the MCPD. So, after taking this exam, I should only need the following exams to also have the 4.0 Windows dev MCPD?

Exam 70-511: TS: Windows Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4

Exam 70-518: PRO: Designing and Developing Windows Applications Using Microsoft .NET Framework 4
