Product key problems RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I bought my laptop with a genuine Vista package with everything pre-installed - apparently.  The system is now, after a few months, asking for a product key to access the Windows type software programs.  Luckily I kept all of the packaging but there is no product key.  Have copied the diagnostic report below.  Please advise on the way ahead.

    Many thanks, Wings143

  • Wings123,

Vista HP is showing as Genuine so no worries there.

Is it Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 asking for the Product Key?

If so, it looks like your 60-day trial is over, and you need to buy a PK in order to continue to use it in full function mode.
