Question
-
I had a computer built for me and paid to have Window's 7 installed on my computer. I am now getting a Black Screen where my desktop picture used to be and a message in the bottom right that says "Windows 7 build 7600. This Copy of Windows is not Genuine"
If this is in error then I would like information on how to fix it. If this message is not in error and I was scammed, then I would A.)like information on who I should report this too and B.)Is it possible to purchase a copy of windows 7 directly from Microsoft and not have to deal with 3rd party companies.

Your computer is based on a retail motherboard, yet claims to have an HP SLIC table in the BIOS.he Product Key in use is the infamous Lenovo Key which was stolen before it was ever installed into a legal PC, and blocked. There are also a number of file mismatches which would create problems anyhow.Your Computer builder cut corners by installing a counterfeit copy of Windows rather than a genuine one - assuming that you paid for a genuine version, then he's guilty not only of piracy, but also fraud.Chase him for a refund - if he offers you a 'new key' then threaten to report him to the police and the FBI.You can report the piracy here...
