  • Have you tried iisreset? It usually fixes most niggly problems like this.

  • Hi,

     Please connect to IIS manager

    • In IIS, expand sites click on SharePoint Web Service
    • In the right hand side panel, double click on compression
    • Uncheck Dynamic compression and static compression and click on apply
    • Repeat the steps for PWA web application site

Can you remote login to Project Server using service account or farm admin and try to reproduce the issue

  • I found what the problem was but don't know the solution yet. Basically when I go to the original pwa site like http://project/pwa it works fine. However when I go to the sites that were created thru alternate access mapping like http://project.mydomain.org/pwa then that's when it is stuck on loading.

  • Add http://project.mydomain.org/pwa as trusted site

  • Tried that before and it did not work. It has to do with the alternate access mapping...

Did you add this URL http://project.mydomain.org/pwa  as binding in IIS ? if yes, please remove it.  With 2010 you don’t have to add bindings.

With AAM setting and updated DNS entry it should work

  • What is total count of resources ?

It appears issue with SQL server,

    1. restart SQL service

    2. Run this command in SQL "sp_updatestats" against project server database => it will improve the performance of PWA application (check with non production environment before executing in Prod)

    Hope it helps

    Regards

    Santosh
