TensorFlow on DSVM? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is TensorFlow supposed to be installed on DSVM for Windows? It doesn't seem to be, but this Azure documentation page says that it is:

  • Tensorflow is available in the Deep learning extension to the DSVM, an addon on the top of the base Datascience VM that is specifically built to run on GPU VMs (NC-series VM on Azure). The base DSVM for Windows does not have TensorFlow (and other GPU related components like CUDA, NVidia Drivers).

You can find info on he deep learning extension at : http://aka.ms/dsvm/deeplearning.

Sorry for the confusion. We will make the documentation more clear.

UPDATE: TENSORFLOW (CPU VERSION) IS AVAILABLE ON WINDOWS DSVM. So, GPU version on the Deep learning extension to DSVM (which runs on GPU VMs) and CPU version everywhere else.
