  • I think that we should able to open up the home server console on mutiple computers at one time because i know lots off instances where i need to have it open on mutiple computers, or at lease not let you open up the console if somone else is looking at it not just close it on the remote computer, that's a pain

  • The WHS Console is accessed from client PCs using Remote Desktop. In other words, when you start up the console on your office desktop, you're really running it on the WHS, and just getting the interface remoted out to your screen. This is done through the Remote Desktop for Administration feature built into all MS server operating systems.

The problem you're experiencing is a result of this decision on the part of the team. Remote Desktop for Administration allows only a limited number of RDP connections to the server at a time (2, to be specific). When you attempt to establish more than that number of connections you either get a situation where someone else is disconnected from their session (the WHS Console) or you get told that all connections are in use (traditional Remote Desktop).
