unistalling onecare - cleanup tool fails

Question
-
Hi!
It's been a time ago that I had onecare installed for some days and I unistalled it again.
But still the security center tells me that the onecare spywarescanner and the onecare firewall are switched on?!
I tried the clean up tool but it didn't change anything.
Now what?!
Best,
Peter.Wednesday, January 16, 2008 10:25 AM

If the Windows Security Center reports that OneCare is your protection, but reports that they are off and you are at risk, and you have removed OneCare and also tried the cleanup tool, try the WMI fix first - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2469173&SiteID=2
If that doesn't resolve it, please contact OneCare support for further help -

Hello Peter, are you sure it is One Care and not the Windows firewall and Defender?Wednesday, January 16, 2008 3:24 PMModerator
