crm 2011 create contacts for each inbound email contact owner system RRS feed

  • i have seen many articles , posts on this but still I cannot stop crm 2011 create contacts for inbound emails automatically.

    I have logged in as administrator and check personal setting Email tab , unticked option to create contacts.

    But CRM shows new contacts for inbound emails for unknown to CRM. and the owner of the contact set to SYSTEM , when I click on SYSTEM User, I cannot see domain account , also I cannot find System user in CRM - settings - administration - users ares

    how do I stop this System user create contacts, please give your ideas to resolve this

  • I haven't found a solution for this , and crm create hundreds of contacts for each email arrive with unknown email address, please share your knowledage to solve this, any help would be appriciated..

  • Hi,

    System is the internal user, CRM uses for internal processing. You wont get this user in user list in CRM. (Only visible in Database)

  • I have already seen those , I have logged in as administrator account and unticked the box,  all active users unticked and disabled autocreate contact in persoonal settings.

    we have two generic queues for sales and support , emails comes to sales and support create these contacts, we logged in to these email accounts and disable auto create contacts option too.

    still our CRM  create contacts for every junk mail. Do we need to change email router configurations to stop this?

    and why this System user create the contacts... This worries me as I cannot login to CRM  as System user.

    I have seen article about usersettingsbase table . if we set to AutoCreateContactOnPromote =0 for all withh this resolve ?

    please help me on this.

    Try the orgdbsettingstool

    Change the setting  below.

    AutoCreateContactOnPromote True Boolean
    Disables the ability for the entire organization to create contact records automatically
    when an email is tracked in CRM. This option can also be disabled from the user settings area for each user.
    False - Disables the auto creation of contacts.
    True - Enables the auto creation of contacts.

  • I have set AutoCreateContactOnPromote to false to all users, using sql but there is no different on CRM performence

    Do you think anything else to do...

  • Finally found the cause for this problem, I have found the http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/crm/thread/f4248bc9-eca5-4598-be4f-a9350f5ee772/ forum thread which help me to trouble shooting .... one by one I have checked every thing again, finally found the problem is CRM Email router run as local system.  

    I have changed that to run administrator .... solved the mystery
