Deleting the Live Mesh Folders folder under my 'Michele' user folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.  I have uninstalled Live Mesh Beta and Live Mesh Essentials and I am looking to get rid of this one remaining folder.  I right click on it and it won't let me move, or delete it.  I am running Windows Vista (32 bit version).  I have also gone into the registry and deleted anything that might still say Live Mesh. Please help me delete this file.

  • Hello.  I have recently deleted Live Mesh and Live Essentials 2011.  For some reason, there is one folder that didn't get deleted and will not let me move or delete it.  I am running Vista Home version (32 bit).  The folder is called Live Mesh Folders and it is under my 'Michele' user account folder which is right off the Start button.  Please tell me what I need to do to delete this.  I deleted all Live Essentials programs including Live Mesh except for Windows Messenger.

Please let me know what else needs to be done.  Thanks.

  • What does it actually say when you attempt to delete it? Are you logged in with administrative rights?

    Is the folder empty?

You may need to show hidden files and folders in Explorer options.

You may also need to take ownership of the folder and contents. - http://www.tipandtrick.net/2008/how-to-take-ownership-and-full-control-permissions-of-files-and-folders-in-vista/

You can also boot into Safe Mode to delete the folder. Press F8 before starting Windows and select Safe Mode from the menu.
