Help with removing Trojan:Win32/Alureon.gen!C RRS feed

  • Question

  • For a while now my computer's been having some troubles, the most worrying of these is that I cannot access the websites of most antivirus programs including Norton and PcTools. I have McAfee virus scanner and Threatfire behavior-based virus detector, but neither reported a problem, so I downloaded OneCare on another computer and installed it here. It showed that I was infected with the Trojan, and every time I run a scan it claims to have found and stopped the problem, but it is still there the next time I run a scan. I am running Windows XP. The following is a copy of the log at C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Microsoft/OneCare Protection/Support. I'll make a reply with the rest of the log, it's too long to include here.
