Adding an entity to a solution with only a new custom field (Segmentation)

Hello Devs,

Thanks to the CRM 2016 new solution segmentation feature that facilitated the addition of only minimum entity assets to the solution. That saved lot of dependency issues that arise due to the unnecessary dependencies created by the import of succeeding solutions.

However, I didn't see any option to add an entity with only a new custom field in a Select Entity Assets dialog box. Is there any option that you see to achieve the same?

Right now, I add an entity with any dummy existing asset and then I remove it after I add a new entity field.

Hi ,

With CRM 2016, we can add the required components of an Entity to a solution. So if you want to add only the selected Custom fields of an Entity to the solution then you can add it by selecting the required fields of an Entity into the Solution.

I am sorry if I was not clear, but I meant to say that I want to create a new field right at the time of adding an existing entity to the solution. Without adding metadata or any other entity assets (components).

I hope it would be clear this time?
