  • The BIOS SLIC table on this machine is valid for Windows Vista - not Windows 7 (I suspect that you may have done a BIOS update recently??)

The Motherboard BIOS is dated 2012 - presumably the COA sticker on the case is for Windows 7 Home Premium?

Assuming that's the case simply use the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page, to change the Key to the one on the sticker.

You may need to activate by phone.

  • above is the diagnosis report that generated using the window validation program that is recomended in the forum.

my Advent Monza N3 laptop is only few months old and comes with the pre-installed window 7 home. i bought from curry store. after two months of purchase suddenly the window not genuine message pop up. i thought there is something corrupted in the laptop. so i recovered the laptop to the manufacturing setting using the provided recovery disc. but two weeks later the message of not genuine pop up again. why is that so? i am very sure Curry big store wont sell the pirated OS ? ... is that a bug or malware or something else? it is so anoying ... and my friend who recently bought a new desktop pc that comes with pre-installed window 7 have encounter the same problem also. i am sure that this time is the bug from the window 7 it self... not the user fault.

    please help.

    thank you

  • Typical repair shop cockup!

I've lost track of how many machines I've seen that have gone into a shop with one OS only to come out with either a different OS, or a different board, and no valid install!

Glad to hear you managed to fix it.

    Good luck.
