Live Desktop Files Disappeared?????

hello,
I use to have a few folders on my live desktop with some files in them, when i log on today the folders became like a shortcut? I cant get into the folders anymore and the storage used became 0MB. Anyone got this problem before? All my files are gone.Thursday, March 19, 2009 9:29 AM

Obviously, this is not expeced behavior. I suspect that it may be a display issue. Please file a bug:

Are these files/folders syncrhonized with one or more devices in your Live Mesh? Since they are synchronized, if you deleted the files from any device in the Mesh, the corresponding files will be removed from the Live Desktop, too. On the client PC, do you have any messages in the Live Mesh notifier?

I'm afraid that we need lots more information.
Do the folders that are now showing as empty all not sync with any devices?
For those folders that do not sync with devices, did you create the folder on the Live Desktop and upload files to them, but not accept the sync on any device?
How many devices are in your ring? Can you confirm that the empty folders on the Live Desktop are not being synchronized with any of the devices by checking the device notifiers and/or Windows Explorer?
Are any of the empty folders expected to be synchronizing with the devices?
Do any of the folders on your Live Desktop have files within them?
Are any of the fodlers synchronized with other devices?
Are any fodlers that are empty shared with another LiveID?

they are not sync with any device, those folders are created on the Live Desktop and files are uploaded from there. There are 3 devices in the ring. No files are left in any of the folders and none of the folders are synchornized or expected to be sync with any deivces and they are not shared with any other ID.Sunday, March 22, 2009 9:31 AM
