The Key here is for a KMS license – which requires a KMS server to activate it. You need to contact whoever donated this to see whether they acquired the license legally, and are prepared to allow you to use their server to activate the system.

KMS License are activated by the host server on the license-owners network, not by MS, and require re-activation with that server every 180 days. One of the licensing requirements (which you meet) is that the machine have a BIOS SLIC table present to demonstrate the fact that the installation is an Upgrade from a pre-installed Windows license.

  • KMS keys are part of a Volume Licensing agreement between the organization that bought the license and Microsoft. This license is not transferable so if you are not a member of the organization that owns the license for this key, the key is not valid for you to use.

    Thank you,
