Interaction templates opening in outlook before sending. RRS feed

  • Struggling to find this issue anywhere else, so apologies if i am explaining it awfully.

    I have set up an interaction with an attachment in Microsoft Dynamics CRM with mail-merge fields. Works fine if i just want to send it straight to the contact with minor adjustments in word before doing so.

    I need to send an email to the contact, which merges from the template selected in the interaction BUT then opens in outlook BEFORE sending. I need to add PDF attachments to the email and change the FROM email address but i cannot find a way to set this up in NAV.


    We currently have a work-around which is long-winded and inefficient. It requires sending the interaction to the user (me), then editing in outlook as needed and forwarding on to the individual.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this without sending to the user first?
