  Hi Vincent,

  Welcome to the forum. This is a valid question, and it has a simple answer.

  Since the MCSA 2003 retires on July 31, 2013, it cannot be earned after this date. Therefore, all requirements for this certification must be completed by July 31 if you intend to earn this credential. So you must, therefore, pass your Network+ exam by July 31 if you intend to become an MCSA 2003.

  Q.  Can I still earn the MCSA and MCSE certifications on Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003?

  A.  The MCSA and MCSE Windows 2000 Server certifications were retired on December 31, 2011. The MCSA and MCSE Windows Server 2003 exams and corresponding certifications will be retired on July 31, 2013.
