Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException -- The Sequel! RRS feed

  • Question

  • Before anybody tries to use it as an answer, I've already read the following related posting on the exception error I’m asking about:

    http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/crm/thread/236cf39e-955a-40fa-96aa-cb48f5079fa2

My question has a different angle to it. We just got done importing an organization from a SQL database backup, to a Sandbox organization that we're using for plug-in development. The person tasked with this customization effort is getting the following exception:

    Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: Principal user (Id=c22379b7-57e5-e011-a3bd-005056bc001d, type=8) is missing prvCreatePluginAssembly privilege (Id=c81a03bb-4bfc-45a6-9184-e899ce26811a)

The problem is, on the Sandbox CRM site, the user has System Customizer Security Role; in CRM Deployment manager on the server, he is a Deployment Administrator. Additionally, he is also a local admin on the CRM box... and he's still getting the above permissions exception. Does anybody have any thoughts on why this would still be happening if his permissions are "maxed to the gills," per say? I look forward to any and all feedback... thank you.

  • NEvermind...since nobody was able to answer, I ended up adding the sys admin security role to the user, as well as system customizer, and the user stopped getting the error.
