Off Topic:Gateway Windows XP WMP Error

  Recently, my computer stopped playing any type of audio files from a CD.  However, the computer will still read and load data files (.doc, .xml)  Neither Itunes, nor Windows Media players will play any audio files stating the file type is not recognized.
