Imported organization but not working!! RRS feed

  • Hello All,

    I have imported my PROD CRM 4.0 database into CRM DEV environment. But I'm not able to access newly imported organization.  Please let me know if I need to follow any steps to resolve this issue.

    It started working now.... I simply re imported the organization and recycled the CRM app pool and BINGO... it started working.... Thanks for all your help....

  • Can you provide server traces for when you attempt to access the organization?  What is the error that you are seeing?

  • Well it was not showing anything while accessing the new organization. it simply shows 'paga cannot be found'.. nothing else.

    Is your test organization working fine?

    Can you provide the import organization log file?

  • I would try an IISreset to see if it helps.  Also, if you are getting access denied type of stuff you might have had a problem during the mapping of users when you were importing.

  • Sound like the deployment administrator role did not come over in the migration.

    Make sure your account has that role in production and reimport the org into the dev environment.

    Well my account is added to the deployment administrators group. Also I did the IIS reset and even I restarted the server as well. I have my test organization working fine.

    the new organization which I imported is not accessible at all. I also set this as the default organization and also disabled the existing org. But still no luck.

     

    Please let me know if you u have any more suggestions.

    First of all i am not able to understand what error are getting while accessing the CRM.

    Can you copy the event log error or browser error information, that could be easy to understand the issue.

    in my DEV server, I have an already existing organization 'TEST'.  URL: http://crmdev.domain.com/TEST/Loader.aspx

    This is working fine. i am able to access it without any issues.

     

    recently I have imported another database with the organization name as 'NewTEST'. I am trying to access this using the below URL.

    http://crmdev.domain.com/NEWTEST/Loader.aspx or http://crmdev.domain.com/NewTEST/Loader.aspx. I am not getting any error page or any other issue. I am getting 'Page cannot be found' error nothing else.

     

    Please let me know if u need any more info. Thanks.

  • Are you prompting for credentials??

    Try to create a new organization and test it, if its working or not.. 

    and if it works,, then finally import your organization database.

    And also find the log file when u importing the your Organization database, it will be easier to analyze the issue.
