output display error for Visual Studio 2015 Community RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am a student at Los Angeles City Collge, and I follow a class in C++ programming. Therefore I need to sue Visual Studio. I have recently downloaded a free version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2015, Community.

However once I run my CPP (C++) program on Visual Studio 2015, I find a discrepancy. I am not able to get an output display, even for a small string of characters as "Hello World".

Here is the error message displaying on a separate pop-up window.

"The program can't start because ucrtbased.dll is missing from your computer.Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem."

Can you please inform me how to proceed?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dinesh C.

  • Hi Dinesh.

I suggest you to ask this question in the Visual C++ Forum, which is more appropriate for this kind of topics.
Provide a code snippet and a screenshot of the error message.

    Bye.
