CRM install issue - Not detecting Outlook 2003 install RRS feed

    Hi All,

     

    Am having some problems with installing CRM client on XP.

     

    Scenario

    Microsoft Office 2003 installed via GPO with outlook preconfigured with exchange server settings

    CRM Error during install.

    Microsoft CRM client requires Microsoft Office Outlook.
    Please install the current version of Microsoft Office Outlook.

     

     

    Have searched some forums and others are experiencing the same issue but no one has posted a resolution.  Seems that most are seeing this error if they are deploying via Group Policy.  I know if i install office from the cd it will work fine but this defeats the purpose of unattended installations and GPO deployment.

     

    Any ideas?

    Hi Matt

     

    Very stupid question but is your Outlook 2003 fully patched upto SP3?

     

    CRM 4.0 Client will only install on SP3 or higher

     

    I'm guessing you have already looked at this but I have had this issue (not through GPO) at client sites previously

    Hi Allan,

     

    Outlook is 2003 SP3

    CRM Client is 3.0

    Still havent resolved this issue.  Have to install office manually to fix.  Anyone have any bright ideas?
