Real-time Virus Scanning RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I am not truly looking for assistance, I am actually writing to inquire as to why it is not possible to run two instances of the antivirus program so that while performing a "Tune-up," you can still scan individual files while working with risky software. I am a long -time user of ZoneAlarm and/or Norton and both programs permit you to run a second or third instance of their Anti-Virus software.  As a firm believer in Microsoft Technologies I was very pleased to discover that they were now providing Anti-virus software, who would know their operating system and the structure of their registry and it's architecture better than Microsoft itself.

Hopefully this inquiry will open the right persons eyes and we can hope to see the ability to run parallel instances of the Anti-Virus software in future builds.
