Attendant console and response groups RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible for Attendant Console agents to sign in to Response Groups as informal agents?  I have setup a Tab for this on my communicator clients (what a rigmarole that was), is there something similar that you can do for users that have the Attendant console?

  • Raglandan,

The Attendant Console is not supported in Formal response groups (where you have to sign in).  Please see the deployment guide here for further detail (pg 19):

Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant users can be members of informal groups only. They are automatically signed in to their group when they sign in to Communications Server Attendant.

Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant does not support formal agents.

Hope this clears it up for you!

  • It should be noted that the attendant console doesn't support tabs, which is the underlying reason for this.
