How do I comply with the instructions received in answer to an earlier question RRS feed

  • Question

  • I posted a question about being informed that my Microsoft Office was not genuine. Your reply directed me to a pprevious answer and I was instructed to look to diagnostic tools and run the program and eventually 'press the copy button and paste the report into my post along with the question.' When I press the 'copy button' nothing apparently happens and I do not know how to paste the report, etc. Please help.

  • Hello Sandy W One,

Please download and run this utility:  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

After the utility runs and completes (could take a minute or two), do you see a grayed out Resolve button and an available Copy button on the Windows tab?

If so, click Copy. (This copies the report that you cannot see to the Windows Clipboard in the background.)

Then come back to this thread, make a new reply, place your cursor in the reply text entry box, right-click and click the Paste command.  The full report should pop into the text entry box on your screen.

Then click the "Submit" button in the lower left and you're done :-)
