Getting a Time/Date Stamp into an Email SUBJECT Line RRS feed

  • Question

  • This question is going to sound like I'm asking someone to write a script for me, but I'm not ... however, if someone would like to demonstrate with some code I won't complain.

How do I get a time/date stamp into the SUBJECT line of a Microsoft email (Outlook) that is being sent via a rule?

  • I'd think that depends pretty much on the technology used for this "rule". If it's about the Outlook client you might get better or more answers when you ask in the according forum Outlook IT Pro Discussions.

  • You can't.  There is no way to create a rule that changes an email message.

Post Outlook issues in the Outlook forums.  This is a scripting forum.

I suggest posting in the Outlook VBA forum as you can do this with a VBA macro.
