CRM 2013 - Quick Find with Whole Number field with comma RRS feed

  • Hello All,

    We have created one custom attribute of type Whole Number in one of our CRM entity. As per System settings, it will display comma in value. For example, if provided value is 123456, it will display "123,456" in screen as well as in search result of any advance find or custom views.

    This creating issue with our users while searching with this field using Quick Find. When I search with 123456, records are displaying correctly but if I search with "123,456", its not returning correct data because of comma. Our users are copying value from some document and check with Quick Find whether that record is available or not. And in that document, we have data available with "," (comma). So users have to manually remove comma first then only they can find data.

    It was working fine in CRM 4.0. So do we have any workaround in CRM 2013 for this?

    It's possible by adding new field of type string. But I don't want to add new field.
