My name is Joe and I've been using Movie Maker 6.0 under Windows Vista since the fall of 2009. I've still a novice at it but this forum's advice has been quite a help. I'm having a problem opening a project after editing and it does not appear on the timeline
nor storybook and my viewing screen is black. I initially had a saved project about 2 1/2 hours long and cut it in half to fit on 2 different dvd's. Either on the storybook or timeline I chose to "remove" scenes not cut them from the 2nd part of the project
which was named Germany then saved the 1st part under the name of the project under Germany dvd 1. I did the same to the second part, removing clips not cutting them, and saving the 2nd part under Germany dvd 2. The original movie, Germany, I left untouched
- did not change the file name.
Now, when I open the 1st part and the original Germany the program acts like it is opening it up but nothing appears in the timeline or storybook and the viewer is black; when I open the 2nd part it does appear and plays normally in either timeline or storybook.
If I again try to open either the original Germany or Germany dvd 1 I get a message saying - Germany the file is in use. Enter a new name or close the file that's open in another program - . When I check for the property feature of the 3 different segments
Germany dvd 2 shows it is of so many MB but the properties of Germany and Germany 1 show 0 MB.
Apparently these files are somewhere possibly hidden. Can anyone help me please.
