finger touch at the expense of accuracy and efficiency RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hope that the stylus can stay on!

there seems to be a tendency to remove the built-in stylus from the device that provides much better accuracy. Instead its job was replaced by a finger that is not meant to this. I think it's very sad that the accuracy is suffering and it seems to go back to a stone age in terms of this kind. Imagine that one job can do very fast but with your finger it can be very slow, sometimes you may screw it up. If you are doing some serious thing like remote to your desktop to control a server that maintain a web server, how can you do it right with your finger, you are likely to mess it up.

  • Point well taken MicOne.  I would expect most device vendors will include a stylus with their devices ... at least I would hope so.  I suppose at the very least, if you purchased a touch device that did not have a stylus, you could always carry one (although that certainly is not an optimal solution).  For the most part, I expect you will see a stylus integrated with touch devices.  BTW, is their one that currently does not come with a stylus ... I have not seen any yet.

  • I totally agree with you. Why to the manufactures get you use to a feature then take it away from you on the next upgrade?
