Transition from 2000 to 2003 certifications RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello:
I had started the MCSE certifications way back in 2002 on the 2000 track and had taken and passed 70-210 (2000 pro) at the time.

Now I've taken and passed a few exams on the 2003 track (70-290 & 70-291).

Would I still get credit for 70-210 or would I need to take either of 70-270 or 70-620 or possibly an upgrade now?

    Thanks for you assistance.

I am not sure what your "goal" is ? It could maybe sound like you are aiming for a MCSA 2003 - since that would mean, you only need 1 elective exam since you have both the required Client exam (70-210) and the 2 Core exams (70-290+70-291).

And yes.... as you can see in the info below (MS info) the 70-270 is OK for you since you already have passed it (long time ago :-))

Here is some detailed info on the MCSA track where you can see all the electives you can choose between as well :-)

After finishing the MCSA 2003 - you can easily go further on with upgrade path to Windows Server 2008 :-)
