what to do when you cant finish installing the product when an error message comes up..... RRS feed

    The message I am receiving is:

     

    Error code:  80048869---signing in was unsuccessful because of an error.  Please make sure that you are connected to the internet. 

     

    We are obviously connected if I am posting a message....

    If it fails to validate your subscription, select the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation once you've signed in.

  • All of your suggestions do not work....I am wasting my time with this product.  I have submitted the information to the class action lawsuit sites about not allowing  the #2 and #3 license to be used, AND you started the 1 year subscription toll on the installation on the #1 license even when #2 and #3 licenses can't be installed.  All of what happens with this product when taken out of the box is not consistant with the display packaging and the marketing scam of 3 licenses. 

     

    I am still getting "Error Code 80048869" no matter what I do, no matter what instructions I follow.

    That error indicates a signin problem with your LiveID and typically means that something is blocking the connection to the Internet for your login. The message is more common for Windows Live Messenger.     I am sorry you are having a problem with activating on the 2nd and 3rd PCs, but you, as a subscriber, have the ability to call support for help. Follow the instruction in the FAQ for reaching support from the PC that is activated so that your subscription can be validated -
