Yeah, added that functionality, with no success. Obviously it was the first thing tried.
Called / Emailed support a few times, and always seemed to get some 3rd world robot that could barely speak English. They read troubleshooting steps from a script, which included such gems like system restore, reinstall OneCare, reinstall Windows, etc. None of them offered to kick the issue up to a tier II tech, insisting that I follow their troubleshooting script to the letter. A complete waste of time, as all of this had already been tried. With nothing resembling real technical support out there for OneCare, I'm forced to go with McAfee at this time. I will not be renewing my subscription.

What VPN product are you trying to use?
Some VPN products insert themselves into the network stack in such a way that they will not work with OneCare at all.

It's the built-in WInXP VPN. I am trying to dial in to a MS RRAS server. I have seen some evidence online that the MS VPN solution will simply not work with OneCare. If that's the case, then the solution is to stop giving MS money for a broken product and give it to a competitor instead. I'm hoping that this is not the case and that there is a workaround. However, after several weeks of troubleshooting with no solution in sight, it's starting to look like I might have to go that route. Unless you have other information...? Thank you for your help =]

As far as I know, the only thing you need to do to allow the built in Windows VPN functionality to work in OneCare is to place a check mark in the Advanced Firewall/Ports and Protocols list - Virtual Private Networking (IPsec or PPTP).
If you are unable to connect, I'd suggest contacting support -
