Applying UR16 to CRM 2011

Question
-
I am new to CRM and am applying a update rollup for the first time and am hoping for some guidance.
When I download the rollup from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41655, I am instructed to choose the download that I want. I have no idea which download to choose. Below are my choices. My On-Premise CRM sits on Windows 2012, which is 64-bit.
Can someone possibly help me figure out what I need to download and install?
Thanks!
Michelle

the file is CRM2011-Server-KB2872369-ENU-amd64.exe
it's better to check always the release notes, for UR16: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2872369
you will find written:
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Server 5.0.9690.3911 Not applicable CRM2011-Server-KB2872369-<var>LangID</var>-amd64.exe keep also in mind that rollup 17 is also available, and that you need to have at least UR6 installed before updating to UR16 or UR17

Thanks for responding. I should have mentioned that I am currently on UR 14 - sorry about that. So, I will download and install UR17 (I just want to get the latest UR applied to my CRM app so that we are as up-to-date as possible).
So, I downloaded to my PC all of the amd64.exe files on http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42672. The web site then states..."Important: The language pack must be installed before you can apply the update rollup for that language pack. Download and install a language pack at Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Language Pack." Is there a way to tell if this has already been installed on my CRM app or should I just go ahead and download it, no matter if it's already a part of my CRM app?
So, do I run this UR amd64.exe file on my FE (front end) server or on my SQL server - where the DB resides?
Thanks!
Michelle

Hi Michelle,
you need to run the setup on the server where CRM is installed, not your pc (normally the DB resides in a third server, neither this one)if for example your crm is installed at http://testcrm:5555 the server name is testcrm
Regarding the language pack, if your CRM has only a language installed (probably English (US)) you need to download the UR17 package of English (US). In your case CRM2011-Server-KB2872369-ENU-amd64.exe is ok (ENU stands for ENglish Us)

OK - so I will run the setup file on our CRM-SQL server (that is where our DB resides).
Guido, thanks for answering my questions. I plan on applying UR17 to our test servers (we have 4 of them for our CRM app) hopefully sometime this week. So, I may have more questions to post then - just warning you! You have been an AWESOME help - thank you!
Michelle
(So if I mark this as "answered" can I still ask another question - if need be - later this week, without having to start a new question?)

Hi Michelle,
make sure your run the setup file on your CRM server (the DB can be on the same server or on a separate server, but you need to choose the CRM one) however the setup will warn you if he can't find the CRM installation (as far I remember)if your next questions are related to this UR installation you can ask in this thread, if the question is not related open a new thread. Me or other users will check your questions.
