  • I have paid a programmer to install Windows XP, why do I have to pay twice for the same process? I have sent all the information to MS the last time including Name, address ect. Why Isn't MS doing it's job? Is this a money making sceme under MS's licens? I do wonder

  • Hello myrogue,

If someone builds a truck using spare and used parts, puts a Ford emblem on it and sells it to you as a New Ford Truck...is Ford to blame?

You can see that Microsoft is doing it's job by the recent counterfeit software bust http://blogs.msdn.com/wga/archive/2007/07/24/biggest-counterfeit-software-bust-ever.aspx as well as the numerous legal actions taken, by microsoft, against companys sell counterfeit Microsoft Software http://www.channelinsider.com/c/a/News/Microsoft-Embarks-on-Lawsuit-Rampage/.  This isn't just about protecting Microsoft's intellectual property. This is also about protecting consumers and the thousands of owners of small and large businesses.

When you say you have sent Microsoft all your information, I assume you submitted a Piracy Report.  I have no insight into the group that researches those reports but I do know that even though not all reports are responded to, they are all looked at and researched.

If you are currently experiencing a Non-Genuine issue, please feel free to create a new thread, provide a description of the issue, as well as a Diagnostic Report and I will troubleshoot it as soon as possible.

    Thank you,
    Darin MS
