CRM 4.0 Upgrading from SQL 2008 to SQL 2000 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    OS:  Windows Server 2008 R2

    APP: Dynamics CRM 4.0

    SQL ver: SQL 2008

I would like to know if there are any known issues with upgrading databases from SQL 2008->SQL 2008 R2.  Also would you point me to the best practices for this process?

    Thanks in advance!

Seems Reporting services will be the only item to watch out for, other then that, R2 offers improved performance and so forth so nothing really causing CRM4 and SQL 2008 upgrade headaches.

Just remember toback your databases up and also try and get a dev/test environment upgraded first.

  • There are no known issues related to the upgrade itself or related to SQL 2008 R2 in the CRM environment. Just remember to reapply the SSRS connector, if the databases and CRM are on separate machines.

    Kind regards,

    Kuba
