Generate a text file using plugin RRS feed

  • hi,

    Can anybody suggest how to generate a text file using plugin in ms crm 4.0.

  • The problem you will have is that the file will end up on the server and that is after you've resolved any security issue with letting the CRM websites application pool user account access to the server location fo rthe output file.

     

    Can you not just create a csv file using the Export to Excel option on a list or advanced find?

  • Considering Rhett concern if you still want to have text file generation in plugin, look at the following document for having an idea about plugin creation

    for file generation you may use System.IO.WriteAllText() or System.IO.AppendAllText() methods.
