just installed an original copy of office 2007, passed validation and still getting the "not original" message RRS feed

  • Question

  • Had a bad possibly pirate version of office 2007, so I purchased an original copy. The system passed the validation, I can download updates, but I still get the annoying nag on the office toolbar stating that this is not an original copy of office.

Im running windows vista home premium sp 1, spanish OEM edition that came preinstalled on this Dell XPS420.

I have run the MGA diagnostic tool and Im pasting the results.

Thanks in advance and Im sure looking forward to hear from ya.

  • Hello Kikushima,

Please open your control panel and look in your Program and Features. Look for Add/Remove programs and see if you have any other versions of Microsoft Office currently installed. This may be the problem. If you do please let me know what version of Office and/or stand alone versions of Office are there.

    Thank you,

    Stephen
