Genuine office, passes validation, but office application shows a toolbar saying not genuine RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I have a genuine office 2003 installed on my Vista machine. If I run the office validation tool it says my office version is genuine, it is activated, however if I open the office applications they show a tool bar (it is not pure toolbar, but kind of) saying "This copy of office is not genuine, Click here to learn more", which redirects for the validation tool page.

  •  Adarsha,

Please contact your corporate systems administrator for technical support. They may need to uninstall the corporate Office from your system and then perform another installation. Volume Licensing Key software is controlled by the companies systems adminsitrator.

  • Hello Mvadu,

Interesting... Please provide me with the last 20 alpha/numeric digits of your Office Professional Key. DO NOT POST THE WHOLE KEY! Also do you have the original Certificate of Authenticity (COA) sticker which came with your Office 2003 professional packaging? Next please visit http://www.howtotell.com and review your packaging, disc, COA against what is on our page. Do you see any differences and if so please provide me with the details here.

    Thank you,

  • Hi Stephen,

The license in my machine is a corporate license, and I am not sure if my company has any support option for issues like this (other than a re-image offcorse). So before asking them I thought of asking this question here.

So I do not have any media with me. So please advice me how to get the media key used to install office.
