Contacts in Outlook Syncronizing With CRM

When all my contacts in Outlook are syncronized with CRM 4 there are reminders being set on an annual basis for birthdays, is there a way to either not set them in the 1st place or to turn them off completly without going through each one?

appreciate any suggestions

If you want you can just turn off all the reminders (off-course not a good option)
