validation xp - tried all suggestions but my problem isn't listed

Question
-
I have recently bought office home and student 2007. I have windows XP professional. Bought it from PC world. When I go to start..all programs..microsoft office tools...activate product...it tells me that the product is already activated.
Yet when I try to validate anything...it says that validation is failed because product needs to be activated!
I can open word, powerpoint...everything as far as I know, but when I want to use templates...it asks for validation. Then I get the same message...validation failed...need to activate.
I have even tried to remove xp and re-load again. Still same problem. I have the genuine microsoft certificate of authentication with code etc... when I in-put it...it all seems fine...
Can anyone suggest anything.
Thank you.
