CRM Certification Tips RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I work for a partner that is expanding the CRM Practice.  I personally have about 6 years experience with CRM from v4.0 to v2015 r1, but have never gotten certified.

    So, my questions are these:

    • What the best way to get started?
    • Which tests should I focus on first?
    • Are there any good self-study programs for the tests, either paid or free?
    • Any other things I need to be aware of before I start down this path?

  • Hello Chris,

The certifications for CRM 2015 are available, below is a list of the certifications :
    MB2-704: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Application
MB2-706: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Deployment
MB2-707: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Customization and Configuration
    MB2-708: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Installation

As you have said that you are a Microsoft partner you can easily access training contents from customer source, you can also download PDF for the exams. The official courseware (if you have a CustomerSource or PartnerSource account) is now at. I would suggest you to start with Applications Certification as its pretty much based on your functional knowledge which you already have :)

Since you have been a consultant for 6 years I presume it wouldn't be difficult for you. There are a load of tests and dumps which boast about pass guarantee however I would like to quote what Adam Vero said about these "Let's be clear, there are lots of "braindump" sites out there selling questions and answers that are either stolen from the actual exam or in  some cases from other sources as well (eg the Q&A at the end of each chapter in the MOC courses).

So if you like buying stolen property, then download those questions and use them to prepare. Just hope that you don't get caught out, or you will have no Microsoft certifications to your name.

But if you actually want to learn the *subject* rather than learning the answers to the exam, then use the materials in the Dynamics Learning Portal, or buy a book, or pay to go on a training course."

    Don't fall for brain dumps.

    Hope it helps!
