MS 70-562 Exam Pre-Requisites RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All,

I am planning to go for MS 70-562 ASP.Net certification. But I found on the Microsoft Learning site that MS 70-536 exam is a pre-requisite to MS 70-562.

I searched for this question in the forum, but the response was not clear to me.

Please suggest if it is true.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

You can take the three exams in any order. What they mean by
prerequisite exam is that the two MCTS exams are required in addition to
the PRO level exam before you will be awarded the MCPD for ASP.Net.

That said, I would recommend taking 536 before attempting 562 or 564 and
taking 564 last as it is likely to be the hardest (since it is a PRO
level exam). 536 is a foundation exam that tests knowledge of the .Net
    framework and its features.

  • Actually you will need to pass both 70-536 and 70-562 to earn the MCTS in ASP.NET For .NET Framework 3.5 - then successfully passing the 70-564 exam will give you the MCPD certification.

You can see the details here:

If you are interested in the .NET Framework 4 exams you will find exams that map to the 70-562 and 70-564 exams, but there is no corresponding examp for 70-536.

    Good luck!

  • I guess that I didn't completely answer your question. Passing only
70-562 will give you an MCTS in ASP.Net, but you will also need to pass
70-536 and 70-564 to be awarded the MCPD.
